It has been long enough since the 15th Anniversary update that I think we can give educated perspectives on the new order of classes. Mesmer heroes are the best, but I think people get carried away acting like player Mesmers are alone on top of the mountain for PvE classes. I typed up this tier list in the "guide to PvE" post someone made earlier. I am a new player to gw2 and for the life of me, i cannot decide on what class i want to level and play. I've tested all the classes except for warrior up to level 10-20. One thing about me is that I love pvp, and the World versus World mode really intrigues and appeals to me.I love the look of revenant, but i hear it is hated in both pvp and 15 votes, 56 comments. true. thief crossed my mind but condi daredevil and condi specter are both really strong builds any easy to build with dd having great sustain because you are in evade so often and specter providing useful group support for free through barrier. power daredevil is in a bad spot yea but it happens to excel in the 2 fights where mag bombs exist. deadeye indeed might be Rangers can choose Druid from the HoT spec. and Soulbeast from Path of Fire. Druids can be one of the best healers in the game and are generally wanted in all endgame content. I would also suggest you try out a couple classes that sound good to you. You can create a class and go to the pvp lobby and have access to all level 80 skills and such. Yes, come play! Don't delete your old characters; they'll have lots of lovely birthday gifts! But if you have a spare char slot, it's not a terrible idea to level someone new to 80, to re-learn the game! They've made some changes to levelling so it's VERY fast now; it's a quite good way to relearn the game! . Sharper play and the right build are simply far more important than ilvl in this game. To illustrate the point, here's a video where I solo an HoT champion in level 60-65 blue/green gear on my weaver. At about 50%, another player enters, presumably geared in 80 exotic (or better) as most players in HoT are. Tempest Support - Scepter Catalyst - Catalyst is currently the #1 most oppressive build in conquest, easily. I mean we can go into all kinds of debate about how to build these builds correctly, but in a nutshell, that is what you are looking at in current patching for which archetypes have the best performance. 1. 1. GW2 community and content creators are amazing and always ready to lend a hand. I wanted to put a small collection of useful sites for new and returning players to help them to complete the various objectives with ease, and improve the gaming experience. It is not something only "uber high end leet wannabe" players experience. It is present in EVERY aspect of the game. All power creep complainers are golem testers. Honestly, If you haven't played before, play your first character through without boosting. Leveling to 80 isn't super difficult, and you get map progression and hero points. Most importantly, you learn how to play your character. Do your personal story, explore the world, do events. GW2 is a slow burn meant to be enjoyed.
